We are pleased to announce CAPHIA’s new Public Officer, Professor Brenton Prosser. 

Brenton Prosser is Professor of Public Policy and Leadership at University of New South Wales Canberra, and Director of the UNSW Public Partnerships and Impact Hub. His research interests include governance, minority government, public policy, trust, mental and public health. He specialises in research into Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, while he has worked in led several large-scale national evaluations in health and aged care from private and university sectors.

The Council of Academic Public Health Institutions Australasia (CAPHIA) are inviting Full CAPHIA Members to cast their votes for TWO (2) Board Directors vacancies.

Voting Rules.

  1. All current financial Full Member institutions of CAPHIA are eligible to vote for those nominated for the CAPHIA Board of Directors
  2. The Head of School, CAPHIA representative or their nominated delegate may cast the vote.

The Council of Academic Public Health Institutions Australasia (CAPHIA) is seeking nominations for two (2) Board Directors to be elected by Members. We are inviting Full Members to nominate candidates for these roles.

CAPHIA Governance: Board Election Results

Change of Office Bearers

As part of the adoption of the Constitution in May 2022, a change in office bearers was called for in the meeting of the Board of Directors of 8 December 2022. The new governance structure required the four members of the initial Board to retire, with three elected directors to be subsequently appointed. The remaining elected directors will retire for the 2023 Annual General Meeting.

Nominations for the roles of Chair and Deputy Chair were taken in the Board meeting.
