CAPHIA's new Public Officer: Professor Brenton Prosser

We are pleased to announce CAPHIA’s new Public Officer, Professor Brenton Prosser. 

Brenton Prosser is Professor of Public Policy and Leadership at University of New South Wales Canberra, and Director of the UNSW Public Partnerships and Impact Hub. His research interests include governance, minority government, public policy, trust, mental and public health. He specialises in research into Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, while he has worked in led several large-scale national evaluations in health and aged care from private and university sectors.


I look forward to contributing to CAPHIA not only in the role of Public Officer, but through my diverse leadership experience in public, private, political and not-for-profit sectors. As an academic with a background in policy and public health, I share CAPHIA’s commitment to excellence in research, teaching and workforce development.” – Brenton


CAPHIA deeply thank the incredible Adjunct Professor Terry Slevin for being our Public Officer from January 2022 – June 2024. We have greatly benefitted from Terry’s deep public health knowledge and leadership of the sector. CAPHIA and the Public Health Association of Australia will continue to work together to advocate for investment in public health and education of the workforce to protect and improve the public’s health.
