Call for Expressions of Interest: CAPHIA Aboriginal Health Director

CAPHIA is currently seeking expressions of interest for the appointment of a CAPHIA Aboriginal Health Board Director. The term is for 2 years from date of appointment with the possibility of extension, in line with the Constitution rules.

CAPHIA recognises that strengthening public health education and workforce development in Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, and the Pacific requires centring Indigenous knowledge, leadership, and ways of knowing.

• Be lodged by midnight Tuesday 30th September 2025.

Please note that a Full Member Institution may only nominate one candidate for election.

CAPHIA’s new Public Officer: Professor Brenton Prosser

We are pleased to announce CAPHIA’s new Public Officer, Professor Brenton Prosser. 

Brenton Prosser is Professor of Public Policy and Leadership at University of New South Wales Canberra, and Director of the UNSW Public Partnerships and Impact Hub. His research interests include governance, minority government, public policy, trust, mental and public health. He specialises in research into Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, while he has worked in led several large-scale national evaluations in health and aged care from private and university sectors.

1. All current financial Full Member institutions of CAPHIA are eligible to vote for those nominated for the CAPHIA Board of Directors
2. The Head of School, CAPHIA representative or their nominated delegate may cast the vote.
