Call for Expressions of Interest to join the Biostatistics Educational Excellence in Public Health (BEEPH) Network
Message from the co-chairs Dr Erin Cvejic and Ms Katrina Blazek
We have recently launched the Biostatistics Educational Excellence in Public Health (BEEPH) Network as a CAPHIA network, and are seeking expressions of interest to join from individuals involved in teaching Biostatistics in a public health context at CAPHIA member institutions. We hope that this network will provide a forum for educators to share ideas, innovations, reflections, and peer support to facilitate excellence in their practice as biostatistics educators, which in turn will ensure that the public health graduates we train are adequately equipped with the contemporary quantitative literacy and skills needed to be successful in their future careers.
Benefits of joining include:
- being part of a community of practice actively considering curriculum design, authentic assessment, and innovative and engaging approaches to the delivery of biostatistics within public health courses,
- providing opportunities to enhance their own and assist other in improving their practice, and
- making connections with other biostatistical educators across Australasia.
Eligibility
- Academics from CAPHIA Member Institutions
