Presently, the University is seeking a seasoned leader to become Head of Public Health. Encompassing a broad range of responsibilities, this senior position will direct advances in research excellence, learning and teaching activities, advocacy, strategic directions, operations, and capacity building.
Reporting to the Dean (People and Resources), the role requires a high calibre professional to lead the Public Health Discipline Group’s outlook and evolution, ensuring that strategic goals and objectives are translated effectively into robust deliverables. The successful candidate will possess sound management and leadership skills, with the ability to influence people at multiple levels and set a broad and all-encompassing vision for Public Health. Top class people skills will be critical, along with a deep sense of collegiality, and the ability to foster solid relationships and collaborations with a broad range of stakeholders across both the University and the community.
