This workshop will explore the role of public health education in creating a sustainable and equitable future throughout Australasia. CAPHIA’s Call to Action will be presented, which addresses the following questions:
- What is the vision and role of public health education in a sustainable and equitable future?
- What are the responsibilities of public health educators in achieving this vision?
- What priority knowledge, skills and qualities do we need to embed across public health curricula?
- What teaching and learning strategies can we adopt to deliver these curricula?
This workshop will allow for the exploration of ideas and methods targeted at embedding this call to action across public health sectors with academics and leaders around the globe.

The World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA) will commence the second edition of Global Public Health Week on April 3, 2023. This year’s theme is Building a More Equitable, Sustainable, and Resilient Health System. The five-day hybrid event invites discussion surrounding promoting health and wellbeing and best practice in all sectors of public health around the globe.
